Privacy Policy

Draft for beta preview. Last updated: September 23, 2026.

This policy explains how TolkLine is intended to handle meeting audio, transcripts, beta signup data, and third-party AI processing. It should be reviewed by counsel before public launch.

Policy sections

01

Audio processing

TolkLine is designed to process meeting audio only to provide transcription, translation, and speech output. Raw meeting audio is not stored by default.

02

Transcripts and local files

Users may choose to save transcripts locally on their device. Cloud transcript storage, if added later, should be opt-in and tied to account-level controls.

03

AI providers

Audio and text snippets may be sent to ASR, LLM, and TTS providers only as needed to deliver the requested feature. Provider choices may change as the service evolves.

04

Beta signup data

Waitlist submissions may include name, email, role, and the meeting use case the user chooses to share. This data should be used for beta access and product communication only.

05

International privacy rights

The public policy should support applicable GDPR, CCPA/CPRA, and PIPL rights, including access, correction, deletion, portability, consent withdrawal, and limits on certain data uses.

06

Security and retention

Production systems should use encryption in transit, restricted access, short retention by default, audit logging, and deletion workflows for account and cloud data.

07

No sale of personal data

TolkLine should not sell personal data. If advertising or analytics tools are added later, the policy must explain them and provide required opt-out choices.

08

Contact

Before launch, add a dedicated privacy contact email and legal entity name so users can make privacy, data deletion, and regional rights requests.
